Ashley Honbarrier
Ashley is a Salisbury native, whose passion lies in environmentalism, music and arts. She is a certified NC Early Childhood Educator, with training in Farm to Early Care & Education from North Carolina State University Center for Environmental Services. She has spent time studying medicinal herbs, and plans to continue her education in herbal medicine and nutrition. Ashley is our event coordinator. After years of managing musical acts and performing, Ashley founded the Earth Day Jam music festival with Carter in 2012. After 3 years of producing the event, she helped found Midwood Entertainment based out of Charlotte NC. She is also certified in Music Therapy & Sound Healing.
Ms. B (AKA Jes Buckwalter) graduated from the University Of Akron with a BFA in Metalsmithing & minor in Printmaking. She moved to NC & within a few weeks she had been hired as a High School Art teacher. Jessica has since taught at almost every art facility in Salisbury but wanted to truly form relationships
& be a mentor and support for those in need. Salisbury Art Station was created to allow students to follow their creative path in a safe & fun environment. She says, “Art is language to me. It is a way to communicate what we may not have words for.” 2018 proved to be one of the most challenging years in all aspects of Ms. B’s life. After healing from major surgery she is back but ready to join forces with Happy Roots where we will continue to study art, focus on healthy commutation, effective problem-solving, & of course explore the natural world around us.

Stacey Carter
Stacey is a Salisbury native. In 1996 she graduated from Davidson College with a degree in Medical Ethics. She is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in mental health and learning.
She has over 20 years of experience
teaching children and working with
people with special needs and is certified by Communities In Schools.
Candice Casasanta
Candice is the founder and CEO of Little Moon Botanicals. She has a degree in hospitality and event management from Johnson and Wales University. She also currently works on Gentle Harmony Organic Medicinal Herb Farm in Lexington, NC.
Aron Burleson
Aron is a nature lover. Spending much time camping and as a rafting guide on the Nantahala River, he has been a youth wrestling, football, softball and baseball coach for over 15 years. Aron spent a short time studying at Nicholas School of the Envrionment at Duke University and is currently the CEO of Burly's Advertising and Marketing.
